History comes alive in May ’25.
Herefordshire HISTORIES FESTIVAL
The story starts
A county-wide festival of Herefordshire History, new from 2025. We’ve been asking individuals and organisations to plan events (10 – 18 May) like the ones already on this site, and to tell us about them.
Exciting times, as we embrace history.
“A huge thank you to event organisers. The response has way exceeded our expectations and there are more events coming. We are spoilt for choice as to which to attend. It is the ‘Hereford way’ to spread the news by word of mouth, so please tell others about the Festival. With your help we will get thousands of people out having a dose of local history, and hopefully with some sunshine too.”

10 – 18 MAY 2025
This Spring, we are asking groups and individuals throughout the County to organise events to celebrate the extraordinary history of Herefordshire. The Festival recognises that the County has many historic sites and stories which are not celebrated enough.
The enthusiasm of event organisers will ensure the longevity of this Festival. Our vision is to hold Festivals each year. And attract people to visit and enjoy the history of the County.
Festival Events
This Festival is organised through a Community Interest Company by a group of volunteers who are passionate about history and the County.
If you are interested in putting on a Festival event, however big or small, do please…
