Herefordshire HISTORIES FESTIVAL
The story
A county-wide festival of Herefordshire History. We asked individuals and organisations to plan suitable events.
Exciting times, as we embrace history. The 2026 Festival Saturday runs 9 May 2026 to Monday 25 May 2026.
“Thank you for finding our site.
Over 80 organisations in the County are putting on nearly 200 events during the Herefordshire Histories Festival. This event celebrates the amazing History that our County contains, much of it hidden. Please support these events, invite friends and neighbours, walk to them or share transport. We have so much to be proud of in our county.

9 – 25 MAY 2026
We ask groups and individuals throughout the County to organise events to celebrate the extraordinary history of Herefordshire. The Festival recognises that the County has many historic sites and stories which are not celebrated enough.
The enthusiasm of event organisers will ensure the longevity of this Festival. We’re into year two. And attract people to visit and enjoy the history of the County.
