Our Anglo-Saxon and Viking ancestors made everything they wore by collecting and preparing the wool, spinning, dyeing and then weaving it. These traditional practices have been handed down across the centuries and are still used today.
A regular Friday workshop run by the ECHO Weavers is relocating to Leominster Priory during the ‘Vikings at the Priory’ exhibition, to give people the opportunity to have a go at the weaving techniques for themselves using drop spindles, small looms and tapestry frames.
The workshops are free, no booking is required.
