Our first-ever Community Dig – volunteers needed!
Cusop, 5-14 June 2026
All are welcome to come and join Cusop History Group in excavating the mysterious
heritage site of Cusop Castle, alongside professional archaeologists. There are
various activities for volunteers, and no experience is necessary. Just bring your
enthusiasm – and we’ll supply the rest.
There are two 3-hour sessions per day, and you can opt in for just one, or as many
as you like.
Participation is free, but registration is essential.
Participants must be aged 12 or over. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
The Community Dig is financed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and made
possible by National Lottery players, with contributions from Hay Community
Enterprise CIC and Cusop History Group
