Sun 11 – Sun 18 May, Garway Church
Templar Church established in 1180 following a gift of land by Henry II. Round foundations can still be seen.
Friends of Garway Church and Garway Heritage Group will be giving tours of the Church during Herefordshire Histories week. Templar’s Chancel Arch is still in situ, as are their coffin lids, and strange simple carvings inside and outside the building. The tower holds their large money chest carved form a single tree and having three locks.
Guided tours will be available Sunday May 11th through till Sunday May 18th. Please book a tour by emailing Fogc1180@gmail.com
