Members of Sutton Walls Conservation Group will be leading a Guided Walk around Sutton Walls Hillfort at 10.30am on Sunday May 17th.
Displays about the archaeology, history and ecology of Sutton Walls by Sutton Walls Conservation Group, plus further displays on Lost Houses of Sutton Village by the Sutton Environment & History Group, will be at Sutton St Nicholas Village Hall between 10am and 2pm on Sunday 17th May. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
Numbers are limited to 25 people on the walk. Booking is essential (see below). The Walk will commence from Sutton St Michael Church HR1 3AY (NOT ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH AT THE OTHER END OF THE VILLAGE). The walk will take approximately one and half to two hours and is about 1.5 miles in length.
Please be aware that this walk is NOT RECOMMENDED for anyone with mobility or respiratory issues. The route to Sutton Walls Hillfort is on an incline and uneven in parts. It can also be muddy and slippery.
