Hereford Castle – The Hidden History of a Defended City

Little remains of the substantial fortification at the heart of Hereford since the 11th century. The mound that once supported a keep as substantial as York’s has been entirely removed. Kate Andrew, Clerk of Works at Worcester Cathedral, tells the story of the castle known as one
of the fairest and strongest in all England.
