Home & Away is an exhibition of archive photographs taken by Christopher Preece during the 1980s and 1990s. The photographs feature his home town, Leominster, and elsewhere.
Each photo of Leominster is paired with a photo from elsewhere. It could be a railway station in Porto, dodgems in Brighton, a tower block in Salford, a bus stop in Skye, a church in Norway or the Hereford United football ground. There’s a Home photo alongside an Away photo!
There will be 40 black and white prints and a slideshow on the two floors in the gallery. The photos shown upstairs will be show in the slideshow so that they can be seen by people with accessibility needs.
The Old Stable Gallery is located within the Town Council building and accessed through the (Tourist) Information Centre.
The gallery is available on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 9.30am to 4pm, Wednesday 1.30pm – 4pm Thursday 9.30am -11.30pm and 2.30pm-4pm. If you are coming from afar, just give them a call on 01568 616460.
