Join us on Saturday 23rd May at 3pm for a chance to hear about the fascinating history and exciting future plans for Leominster’s Old Priory Centre – a 900 year old heritage site and Scheduled Ancient Monument. Originally part of the medieval Leominster Priory precinct, and formerly Leominster’s workhouse and community hospital, the Old Priory has been at the heart of Leominster’s community life for centuries. With thanks to funding grants from Historic England, the UK Government’s Community Ownership Fund, and Herefordshire Council, the Old Priory is benefiting from extensive work to restore the building fabric and bring vacant areas back into use.
This free talk will provide an overview of the Old Priory’s history and plans for its future as a community hub, together with an external tour of the building. The event is free to attend, but advance booking is required (maximum of 15 spaces available). Book your place by telephoning 01568 616460 or by emailing infomanager@leominstertowncouncil.gov.uk by noon on Friday 22nd May. Meet at the Old Priory Centre, The Priory, Leominster, HR6 8EQ. Please gather in the front car park, What3Words ref: ///letter.lifeguard.subtitle
