Friday 15 May 2026, 7.30-9.00pm, Madley Parish Hall. Stories of Madley in the 20th century including the link with Stephen Beattie VC and ’the most daring wartime raid' on St Nazaire.
David Hammond, Military Historian, will tell us of the raid on St Nazaire in 1942 and Stephen’s link with Madley. We will also hear stories of local Madley people, with recordings of David Burman and Joyce Barrell made by John Dinnen.
