Riots were a feature of the 18th century as people grappled with ideas of fairness and freedom. Find out how cider had a key role to play in ideas of liberty both in Britain and America in the 1760s.
Join curators from the Museum of Cider for a talk on the very real role cider played in establishing boundaries at a time of government overreach and taxation. From miners to sailors, John Wilkes to George Washington.
Ticket numbers are limited, and online booking is essential. Tickets are £5.00pp.
Following the talk we will be offering discounted admission (£3.00pp) to ticket holders who wish to visit the museum and temporary exhibition. This is available upon request on the day and cannot be booked in advance.
