Wednesday 14 May 2pm – 4.30pm, Cradley Village Hall
Cradley Village Hall is a black and white timbered building dating back to the 16th century. It has had a varied history, thought to have started as the Church ‘alehouse’, before becoming a school and a school dining room before becoming a Village Hall. Throughout May the Hall is housing an exhibition to commemorate the end of World War II, featuring contemporary periodicals and newspaper articles.
The Hall is home to the Cradley Heritage Group who have a number of resources available to assist both local historians and those researching their personal history. The Resource Room is usually open on Monday mornings 10-30 to 12.30 and Thursday afternoons 2 to 4.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, 14 May, the Village Hall Management Committee cordially invite you to visit the Hall to learn more about its history and the resources we have available for local researchers.
Entry to the Hall is free, with the option to purchase tea and coffee during the afternoon.
